Therez a Parking Lot There Now

All week long on my way to work i've been walking over this message written in chalk on the sidewalk next door to my house and never really noticed what it said.  Last night i finally read it and realized it was part of this.  So, evidently, in 1911, Tessie Caplan used to live next door to me and died in the Triangle Factory fire at 18 years old.

Norwegian Death Metal

Itz not exactly false, and itz not exactly true, but it is the right answer when random chatty guy at busstop asks you what music you like and you just want to be left alone.

Dont Push Me Cuz I'm Close 2 Tha Edge

Despite my hyper-vigilance against pathetic fallacy,  particularly wrt any media aimed at childernz, i enjoyed the hell outa Happy Feet.  Find it interesting that the party really started when the vato penguins showed up.  Para mi gente!  Also realized just how much rap/hiphop iz pretty mainstream now.  Wonder where the techno metal goth or punk penguins were.  Probably smoking and piercing flipperz behind some snow drift.

Itz Still a Phone Dammit

The firm is buying us each a blackberry (or similar device) and upping our monthly cellular stipend accordingly.  I think i am probably going with the Blackjack.  I want something that still seems phonelike, and few things feel weirder to me than trying to talk on a treo or blackberry, except for maybe holding a brick to my head and trying to talk.

I don't need a monster screen on it either - itz not like i want to frikkin edit documents on the bitch, only to know when i have an urgent email or something.  Hell, i don't even wanna reply to the emails, so much as know they're there.  But of course i'd still like a semi-standard qwerty, even if itz only to type, "on my way dammit" more easily, when i'm late for a meeting/etc.  Or else i'd take a Pearl.  I dunno, I will have to play with each of them this weekend to see which is most easy to use, as well as most handbag and pocket friendly.

Either way, i really wish they were a lot farther along now with the damn bioware and nanotech.  I really expected more of the new century, technologically.  I have too much shit to carry all over the place as it is.

Quality Pussy Time

Week before last i was at the client site most of the week.  Last week i was in texas with the family.  And again this week i have to be back at the client site.   So over the last three weeks i will have only spent, like, three full days loving on my pussy, and this saddens me.

I know itz really pathetic.  But what the hell is a blog good for if not crazy cat lady blogging?

Methodology to my Madness

The first time i worked on a project with my current teammate seven years ago, he introduced me to the POMA database:

Pwylla in 2000:  Wow that diagram is cool - it details all the phases of work and the deliverables.  Where did you get that?
Eel in 2000:  ... well thatz from the POMA database..
Pwylla in 2000:  ... really?  i don't know that one... where can i get it?
Eel in 2000:  You can't.  Well you can't have mine, anyway, you'd have to get your own.
Pwylla in 2000:  WTF are you talking about?
Eel in 2000:  Itz from the Pulled-Outta-My-Ass database.
Pwylla in 2000:  Oh!  I See... Yeah, i already have one of those.

So itz been great working with him again.  I finally got him back the other day:

Eel:  That was good - what you said in our meeting with [client] earlier ...
Pwylla:  Well i was just following our methodology
Eel:  Which one is that?
Pwylla:  The MSU methodology.
Eel:  ?
Pwylla:  Oh c'mon you know this one.  You're the master.
Eel:  ... I can't place it.
Pwylla:  It links to deliverables in the POMA database, even.
Eel:  !
Pwylla:  Thatz right!  Itz the Making-Shit-Up methodology!
Eel:  ... ok... thatz pretty damn good, actually.

Sadly, Wikipedia has a rule about these things, so i can't share our wisdom with the world at large.  For now the MSU, and itz corresponding deliverables in the POMA db, will remain confidential and proprietary.
